Five Years Strong:

Remotely Philippines Celebrates

Its People and Builds for the Future

Remotely Philippines - October 7, 2026

LIPA City, Philippines - Remotely Philippines marked its fifth anniversary under the theme “Rise as One: Five Years Strong, One Future Together,” celebrating five years of growth while placing its people, their development, and the opportunities ahead at the center of the company’s next chapter.

The anniversary brought together the Remotely Philippines team to recognize employee achievements, celebrate newly promoted professionals and special awardees, and introduce initiatives designed to strengthen the employee experience and support the company’s continued growth.

From a company that began with two founders, Remotely Philippines has grown into an organization of more than 50 professionals. As Chief Operating Officer Ednalyn Atienza-Ortega, CPA reflected during her closing remarks that growth has been made possible by the commitment, collaboration, and care employees bring to their work and to one another.

A Company Growing Through Its People

At the heart of the anniversary celebration was a message that has remained central to Remotely Philippines since its beginning: creating meaningful opportunities for Filipino professionals. Over its first five years, that purpose has evolved from an aspiration into a growing organization where employees take on more complex responsibilities, build new capabilities, and step into leadership roles.

Chief Executive Officer Eduard Ortega emphasized that the company’s continued expansion should create corresponding opportunities for the people within it.

As Remotely Philippines builds for the future, the company is placing greater structure behind employee development through its five-year development plan, Remotely University, expanded learning and leadership development, and a stronger management structure designed to prepare more employees for future team leadership and management roles.

That direction was captured in one message from the CEO:

“I want our growth to create room for your growth.”

The statement reflects a broader ambition for Remotely Philippines: not simply to become larger, but to build an organization in which business growth creates room for greater responsibility, professional development, and leadership opportunities for its people.

Strengthening the Employee Experience

The anniversary also marked the introduction of major initiatives that form part of Remotely Philippines’ continuing investment in its internal organization and employee experience. Among these were WorkAdventure, the enhanced Employee Handbook, and Remotely Hub—initiatives intended to support a more connected, structured, and accessible working environment as the organization continues to mature and scale.

Together with the company’s investments in learning, coaching, and leadership development, these initiatives reflect a deliberate effort to strengthen not only how work is delivered, but also how employees connect, develop, access information, understand expectations, and prepare for future opportunities.

As Ednalyn Atienza-Ortega shared with employees, Remotely Philippines intends to remain a place where people can “contribute, grow, and see a future” for themselves. She also encouraged employees to make use of the company’s coaching program, identify the skills and roles they want to work toward, and allow the organization to help them prepare for their next step.

Celebrating Career Growth from Within

The fifth anniversary also provided an opportunity to recognize employees whose continued development has led them to the next stage of their careers at Remotely Philippines.

The company congratulated Charisee G. Sarmiento, promoted to Senior Human Resource Associate I; Rodelyn C. Dila and Sheena Marie E. De Chavez, promoted to Senior Accounting Associate I; Mary Florence B. Galosmo and Mark Jison A. Sebog, promoted to Senior Accounting Associate III; and Lyra Rose S. Pacunla, Michael Angelo A. Parel, and Melarey Joy J. Villamor, who were promoted to Associate Director I.

Their advancement represents more than a change in title. It reflects the company’s continuing commitment to developing talent from within and creating pathways for employees who demonstrate the capability, accountability, judgment, and readiness to assume greater responsibilities.

In her message to the promotees, Atienza-Ortega encouraged them to use their advancement not only for their own development, but also to help others grow:

“May your next step forward help someone else take theirs.”

Five years after Remotely Philippines began with a dream of creating opportunities, that purpose continues to shape what comes next: building a stronger organization, developing more Filipino professionals, creating more leaders from within, and growing together with the people at the center of the company.
